Shane Taylor, the former ROH TV Champion, made his Impact Wrestling debut during Impact Wrestling 8/27 tapings. PWIInsider He first broke the news, stating that he lost his first match against Crazzy Steve.
Taylor hasn’t wrestled in ROH since AEW CEO Tony Khan Bought the show back in March.

During his career at ROH, he teamed up with current AEW star Keith Lee, and Moses, Cowan, and Ushai Edwards helped him create the Shane Taylor Promotions group. As noted, Coon is currently part of the ROH Embassy stable with Brian Cage and Toa Liona. Kawn and Leona are both signed to AEW and Ring of Honor.
Taylor last wrestled in ROH in Final Battle 2021, where he defeated Kenny King. Since then, Taylor has wrestled in several independent promotions, including GCW, VIP Wrestling, Red River Wrestling, and Renegade Wrestling Alliance. He currently holds two titles, the VIP Heavyweight Championship and the Red River Heavyweight Championship.
earlier this month, ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli was asked who he’d like to defend the belt against and he mentioned Taylor as his pick. During last Friday’s episode of “frenzy” Castagnoli successfully defended the ROH World title against Dustin Rhodes. Castagnoli has been the ROH World Champion since he defeated Jonathan Gresham in Death before infamy on July 23.
