Spirit canceled dozens of flights Friday morning. Dozens of Orlando flights and about 100 flights nationwide were cancelled. The nature of the checks was not made clear, but they were severe enough to trigger the call and leave hundreds of passengers wondering how they got from Point A to Point B.
