During her headlining set at the Outsidelands Music Festival in San Francisco on Saturday, Aug. 10, the “Espresso” singer screamed and jumped off a stage after a stray firework approached her, according to footage from the event. live feed.
Carpenter, 25, was dancing when fireworks exploded behind her, startling her and causing her to scream and jump forward. She then looked back and screamed again, covering her mouth as she dodged the stray sparks.
“Oh my God!” she screamed as she continued to run away from the fireworks on the Golden Gate Park stage.
The star appeared to escape the fireworks unharmed, finishing her performance at Outside Lands and continuing to post on social media after the festival.
Carpenter's representatives did not immediately respond to People's request for comment.
