Rush Hour World Tour Puzzle Review, Quiz

Rush Hour World Tour Puzzle Review, Quiz

Little Red is back! Rush Hour World Tour contains the typical logic puzzles Rush hour Transform your small sports car with a new look. 40 missions await sliding puzzle lovers. How successful is this “magnetic edition”? I will reveal that in my review.

First, the Rush Hour World Tour is a great option

I was skeptical about whether or not this edition of the sliding puzzle would be any good. After disappointment Rush hour shift I didn't have high expectations. BUT: In my opinion, Rush Hour World Tour is once again a very good version of the brain game series. The tasks are somewhat difficult. The materials are surprisingly good. What can I say: it's fun.

Special feature of this edition

Fans of single-player games involving the red car will find their way right away. The processes are familiar, and the tasks are at a typical level that resourceful kids can keep up with, but they also require a bit of brain power from adults.

But there are two important differences that make this edition particularly attractive:

  1. It is a “magnetic version”. This means that the 16 compounds are flat and magnetic. It's easy to get hold of and stick completely to the plan. This, combined with the next point, makes this edition an ideal travel companion.
  2. Tasks is designed as a ring binder. Each page features an illustration of a world city, each containing four puzzles of increasing difficulty. The pictures are just a decoration for the issue's title. Unfortunately, they have no connection in terms of gameplay. However, the ring binder system is brilliantly implemented. The opening on the sides allows space to move vehicles on the plan from each side.

Logical puzzle game

Probably everyone is familiar with the task: you have to get the red sports car out of the parking space. Unfortunately, some other cars and trucks block the road leading out of the parking lot. Since the red car can only move back and forth, the puzzle person must first move all the other cars back and forth. This creates gaps that other cars can squeeze into to somehow clear the way for the red fast car.

The challenge, on the one hand, is to get the red car out of the parking space. On the other hand, the ideal solution is tied to a certain number of moves. Unfortunately, these are not specified in the Rush Hour Word Tour. However, the number is determined by the solutions printed on the back of the ring link.

Back and forth – making parking a pleasure

an idea Rush hour Returns to Nob Yoshigahara. Mark Engelhardt developed the challenges for this edition of Thinkfun/Ravensburger. As always with this series, it's very demanding. At first I didn't see the gap because of all the metal. But then it hit me and I solved all 40 levels one by one.

Since the tasks depend on each other, fans of these puzzles quickly learn logical solutions. This means that at some point, even tasks that seem impossible at first will be successful. But: Overall, the challenges were very easy for me. But I know some versions Rush hour And fit in well with the system. Others may have more trouble, especially at first, or may laugh tiredly at even the most difficult tasks.

Reminder: The solution is one thing. Keeping the number of movements as low as possible is the real challenge.

Functional material

I really like the Rush Hour World Tour. Little Red is back in his element. There is a certain amount of humor in the fact that now everyone can solve tasks related to parking spaces in the back seat of a car without any incidents. Although the material does not seem like it at first, it is successful, strong and ideal for this purpose. In fact, I see merit in the “plastic cars” issue. Magnetic compounds feel heavy and easy to handle. Although the cars can't really be pushed, they don't slide easily either.

On the other hand, the illustrations are poor again. Only the image on the mission page creates a connection with major cities. I wish the special features were also reflected in the quests. But that's the case in the entire series.

Either way: for me, Rush Hour World Tour is a successful version of the classic game. I even like medium to some extent Rush hour shift With your very own parking logic as a mission.
