Soprano Melody Moore commands attention with her tremendous vocal versatility in gorgeous melodies from Verismo and Verdi.
Melody Moore has a great voice – booms profusely in the high register, huge in the middle register and with impressive power in the low range. Thus, the profile is ideal for Verismo’s large subject and all of Verdi’s dramatic roles. Melody Moore has already made the trek to the gorgeous mezzo role of Ameneris in ‘Aida’. She differs strikingly in her tribute to Renata Tebaldi (1922 to 2004). In recordings of the early stereo era, La Tebaldi was often designed in one color and an emphasis on the bow. Melody Moore, on the other hand, is always on the move: she sets almost every note differently, adjusts every bar with potential for feel and tries to grab attention. what is the different! So it remains a question of aesthetic conscience, whether one prefers the disguised economy of Tebaldi’s or Moore’s colorful effects of furious battles.
