It’s going to be exciting on the long night of October 7: The Villach City Museum invites you for private tours, Kärnten Relief is open until 1 a.m., and virtual reality technology is available to experience at Denzel Castle.
The Villach City Museum celebrates its 150th anniversary throughout the season, and of course there is also a special program of the “ORF Long Night of the Museums”. “Not only does the anniversary exhibition provide the ideal space to look back at the past and dare to look to the future. The program that our cultural sites have prepared especially for this night is also worth experiencing,” says Cultural Officer, Deputy Mayor Gerda Sandresser.
Villach offers a casual offering for night-time fans interested in culture. As part of the current exhibition “Thresholds” in the “Long Night” at Denzelschloss, there is an opportunity to experience “Hamlet” up close using virtual reality technology and immerse yourself directly in the piece. Galerie Freihausgasse invites you to view artworks from the current anniversary exhibition with curator Claudia Schauß.
Museum director Andreas Küchler confirms that “The Villach Museum has organized some special tours for visitors, and there is also a children’s program, music and a buffet while supplies last.” Kärnten Relief is open until 1am.
