Is it equipped with three motors to rival the Tesla Model S Plaid?

That day, I discovered a prototype of a high-performance model that was supposed to be put into Porsche’s all-electric Taycan, but it turned out to be an amazing powerhouse.

Currently, Tesla’s Model S Plaid is the heyday of electric sedans. Three electric motors are installed in the core, and the total system output is 1034ps. With its powerful performance, it can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 1.99 seconds.

On the other hand, in the current model of the competitor “Taikan”, it is said that there is a possibility that the power will not improve once the software is updated.

The battery pack should be able to provide at least 1,000 hp (745 kW) of power, but the problem is the engine’s limitations. All other 1000 HP electric models have 3 motors, but the Taycan has 2 motors.

In other words, in order to compete with the Model S Plaid, we have to develop a model with three engines. However, it is doubtful whether this is possible with the current chassis packaging, and it is possible that they are developing a new Taycan.

A splitter is attached to the front end of a prototype captured for the first time at the Nürburgring. The outer rim may be newly designed, and there are likely to be chucks under the headlights. The protrusions above the front window and the tip of the roof are thought to be gauge sensors.

On the side, aerodynamic components have been added to the side skirts, and inside the cabin you can see a folding cage and RECARO sports seats.

The suspension is equipped with a complex design wheel with 5 spokes. Speakers with interior spaces are likely meant to lose weight. Large yellow brake calipers also indicate that this vehicle has carbon-ceramic brakes.

Aft, a large fixed aft wing is attached to the deck lid wing. The diffuser at the bottom of the bumper has also been aggressively redesigned, and there’s a good chance it’s a performance model.

Currently, the most powerful “Turbo S” model in the Taikan lineup shows a maximum power of 761 horsepower and a maximum torque of 1,050 Nm, and is expected to have an impressive specification of over 320 kilometers per hour.

Among the candidates for the commercially available car name is “Taikan GT”.
