Anyone like me, who was a kid in the ’90s, knows the Amiga 500 of course. This is just for the younger generation: the Amiga 500 was a beast! It was Commodore’s best-selling home computer and was launched in 1987. With its many expansion options, accessories and the convenience of a true home computer – also in gaming territory – it quickly found and still retains many fans among today’s retro gamers; And this despite the fact that, like the famous breadbox (Commodore 64), it did not have an internal hard drive.
Admittedly, with 1MB of RAM (with expansion) and 3.5-inch floppy disks that store about 950KB of data and can be read at an incredible speed of 500kbps, the A-500 is technically obsolete in 2023.. . or not?
