Paris and Prince Jackson – sons of the late Michael Jackson – honored their father on Sunday During the Tony Awards 2022.
The couple took the stage at Radio City Music Hall to perform for the cast of “MJ: The Musical,” which depicts a large part of their father’s life and was nominated for first prize.
Prince, 25, and Paris, 24, confirmed the late King of Pop’s love of musicals in a rare appearance celebrating their father.
“A lot of people seem to think our dad Michael Jackson changed popular music forever,” Prince Jackson said. “And who are we not to agree?”
But what people may not know is that he loved musicals, in movies and on stage. That’s why we are so honored to present tonight’s first nominee for Best Musical, “MJ,” which, using many of his famous songs, takes a look at the complexities and brilliance of our father’s process.”

PARIS JACKSON recently revealed That King of Pop instilled a strong work ethic and eclectic musical flair in his children.
“My dad was really good at making sure we’re educated, making sure we’re educated, and not showing us such jolly and jolly, like navigating hotels, five-star places,” Jackson said in an interview.
“Growing up, it was about earning things. If we wanted five toys from the Food and Agriculture Organization Schwarz or Toys R Us, we had to read five books,” she said.
“It earns it, not just the right to certain things or thinking, ‘Oh, I’ve got this. “It’s like working for it, working hard for it – it’s something else entirely. It’s an achievement.”
