The Sacramento Police Department said no one was found after officers searched the McDonald’s restaurant looking for an armed suspect. At about 6:30 p.m. on Friday, police said they were trying to detain a person trapped inside the McDonald’s restaurant located at 6370 Mack’s Road and that the premises had been evacuated. Sacramento police said shortly after 4:25 p.m., officers responded to a “suspicious circumstance involving a possible armed individual.” Mack Road was temporarily closed near McDonald’s but a LiveCopter 3 was flying over the scene at Valley Mack Plaza as the road began to open up. It is not yet known what led police to believe there was an armed element inside the restaurant. No one was hurt, this is an evolving story. Stay tuned to KCRA 3 for the latest.

Sacramento police said that shortly after 4:25 p.m., officers responded to a “suspicious circumstance involving an individual who may be armed.”

Mack Road was temporarily closed near McDonald’s but a LiveCopter 3 was flying over the scene at Valley Mack Plaza as the road began to open up again.

It is not yet known what prompted the police to believe there was a gunman inside the restaurant.

No one was hurt.
