New horror series from Stranger Things creators The Duffer Brothers

Weird things Netflix may be nearing its end, but it wants to stay in business with creators the Duffer Brothers for years to come.

The streaming giant says it has ordered a new “aerial horror series” called Something very bad is going to happen.Haley Z. Boston is the creator and showrunner of the series, with the Duffer Brothers and Hilary Levat producing for their company Upside Down Pictures.

Main line of Something very bad is going to happen. He describes it as “an atmospheric horror series set at a wedding, following a bride and groom in the week leading up to their ill-fated wedding. This is not a spoiler – just read the title…”

“We were blown away when we first read Haley’s script,” Matt and Ross Duffer said in a statement. “She’s an incredible new talent with a unique voice — her writing is twisted, terrifying, funny, and… just like Haley. We feel so fortunate to be producing her first show, and we can’t wait to share her vision with the rest of the world.”

The brothers are currently in production on the final season of Weird things for Netflix, and has a number of other projects lined up with the streaming service, including the series Biologywhich will begin production this fall; and a live-action version of the manga series. Death Note.

Boston is also familiar to Netflix, having written for Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Wonders And New cherry flavour.
