Netflix Brings Classic Windows to Its Gaming Platform

Netflix Brings Classic Windows to Its Gaming Platform

Who doesn’t fondly remember the popular game Minesweeper, which – along with Solitaire – has been available to play on Windows computers since 1990? For those feeling nostalgic, Netflix has now released a new version of the classic movie for its subscribers. The game is now available for iPhone and iPad.

For its own platform launch, Netflix has given the popular game a new design and new game modes. The new version has many similarities to the original, but is complemented by a “Journey Mode” that takes you as a player to different levels and worlds. Daily challenges are also included in the new Minesweeper game.

What should please all Netflix subscribers: The Netflix version of Minesweeper is part of the subscription and does not require any additional in-app purchases. This means that you can play the game at no additional cost and also without ads if you are a Netflix subscriber.

In my opinion, the game's trailer looks very promising:

With Minesweeper, Netflix is expanding its game collection with another classic that could hook users on the platform for a longer period of time. Although I cancelled my Netflix subscription a few years ago, if I were still a subscriber, I would have given the new Minesweeper a try right away.

Available for download now

You can now use the minesweeper in App Store Download. To play, you need an iPhone with iOS 16 or later and a standard Netflix subscription of at least €12.90 per month.
