6 hour enduro winner
Ryuhiro Takaoka (Roppongi Express) Specialized S-WORKS TARMAC SL8
Ryuhiro Takaoka (Roppongi Express) broke away from the leading group in the final stages of the 6-hour solo enduro road race, which was a very competitive race, which he won after completing 51 laps and a total distance of 244.8 km. Mr. Takaoka's bike is Specialized's newest race bike, the S-WORKS TARMAC SL8.
“To match the frame, the wheels, saddle, handlebars, and other components are standardized by Specialized.'' The handlebars are Roval RAPIDE COCKPIT, and the saddle is ROMIN EVO, giving the bike a uniform aesthetic.
The components are Shimano DURA-ACE DI2, I use a big triple peak reel that I started using last year and love. The gear configuration is 54-40T in the front and 11-34T in the rear. It is said that every race is run with this gear ratio.
“I've been using a 172.5mm crank length for a while, but this time I decided to change it to 167.5mm. It takes some time to get used to, but once I got used to it, it felt good.” The crank used was an SRM power meter carbon crank.
4 hour enduro winner
Sakurako Furuya (Uchibo Racing Club) Trek Emonda SLR
Sakurako Furuya (Uchibo Racing Club) won the Road Woman Solo race despite suffering a flat battery in DI2 during the 4-hour enduro race. When he appeared in a previous article introducing his favorite car, he was driving Cervélo's all-rounder, the R3, but he switched to a Trek EMONDA SLR.
Why I chose Trek EMONDA SLR: “The shop I always do maintenance at is a Trek fan, and my husband is also a Trek fan, so I chose Trek. We're now a Trek couple!''
The frame color is a purple gradient with yellow inserts, and I ordered it through the “Project One” ordering system. All components are Shimano DURA-ACE R9270 chainring, and the power meter is a pedal-type Acioma.
The wheels were Bontrager Aeolus RSL 37 and Aeolus RSL 51, with different rim heights at the front and rear. The tires used are Michelin POWER CUP TLR 28C.
4 hour enduro winner
Kita Sakadai (Dachikai) Giant PROPEL ADVANCED SL
Keita Sakadai (Dachiai), who was able to run solo in the solo road category of the 4 Hour Enduro race with the help of his teammate, has a giant Aeroroad 'PROPEL ADVANCED SL'. I was surprised the car was just delivered and it was a first win. “It has aerodynamic performance even in headwinds, so it keeps going, and was able to climb Motegi without any difficulty. PROPEL is the only option for gentle slopes.'' He says he loves the new PROPEL.
The most important thing about the customization is that the stem is a Contact SLR Aero Stem exclusive to the new PROPEL, and the stem length is 140mm. 'I'm 183cm tall, and chose the smaller frame size M. Riding small is a posture issue, but in order to get a stance that makes it easier to pedal with a higher BB, I decided to change the stem size. “We're making the stance taller.”
Components were Shimano ULTEGRA R8150 chainring, and since the calipers are often serviced by the rider themselves, Glowtac EQUAL mechanical disc brake calipers were fitted, which are easy to adjust. The 54-40T chainring is set on a Margene PES-P505 Base spider type power meter crank.
The wheels were Shimano DURA-ACE C50 TL with the classic Michelin POWER CUP 25C color. “I made it a spacer for easy maintenance,'' so I used a TPU tube from Margene.
Participate in a 4-hour mixed gender enduro class
Ayumu Kawaguchi (Bowerman Cycling Club) Cannondale CAAD13
Ayumu Kawaguchi made his first race and enduro debut by competing in the 4-hour mixed enduro class. My favorite car is a Cannondale high spec “CAAD13” aluminum frame. “I fell in love with EF Education Easy Post Color Replica Color at first sight!” she said with a smile.
The team is a Nike-sanctioned club called the Bowerman Cycle Club, and the team's name comes from Nike founder Bill Bowerman. The team also expressed their appreciation for the team sentiment, going so far as to prepare bottles emblazoned with the team's logo, “Bowerman Cycle Club (BCC)” for the event.
I chose Supacaz's pink gradient ribbon to match the frame with pink inserts. The saddle is fitted with a Prologo Nago RS saddle, which was carried over from my previous favorite bike, the SUPERSIX EVO.
The components were Shimano 105 DI2, the wheels were Mavic COSMIC SL 45 DISC carbon wheels, the tires were Panaracer AGILEST TLR 28C, and the drivetrain and suspension were set up to be suitable for the enduro circuit.
Winner of a full marathon
Masa/Masayoshi Takakura S1NEO 599D
The centerpiece of this year's Motegi Enduro race is Masa/Masayoshi Takakura, the world's premier cycling YouTuber who has produced the new “Full Marathon Ride”, which aims to complete the 42.195 kilometres. Massa ran at an average speed of 44.52 km/h and was the only participant in the full marathon journey to the finish line in less than one hour with a time of 58 minutes and 12 seconds. His favorite bike is the Aero Road from the French motorcycle brand S1NEO 599 d.
The components used were a combination of Shimano DURA-ACE and ULTEGRA, and the rear derailleur was equipped with a large pulley from Carbon Dry Japan in “S1NEO color” with a custom tri-color paint job.
The Vittoria CORSA PRO 26C is combined with S1NEO's in-house brand Graal carbon wheels with a wavy rim profile. “I weighed 75kg, the front air pressure was 5.5 bar and the rear was 6.0 bar. This time I was on a track, so I used higher air pressure.''
“Many of our viewers are middle and high school students, so we included all the colors viewers wanted,” he said. “We put it in blue and made it gold! The influencer's bike lights up and looks amazing!” . It was given to me.
