the Technology Group Bosch In light of the growing demand for batteries across industries, he senses the opportunity for a fast-growing business – also with the sale of entire plant equipment for battery production. The company hopes to achieve a jump in sales in this area from about 100 million euros the previous year to about 250 million euros by 2025, Bosch announced Thursday (August 12, 2021) in Gerlingen. For the entire period between 2020 and 2025, the goal is to achieve sales of 1 billion euros in this business.
As a group, Bosch is active in many areas, including building itself, for example Automotive batteries and other industries. What’s new is that in addition to batteries, the group also increasingly wants to sell and assemble proprietary technology to build and assemble it to other companies. Everything was said to be on display, from individual components and software solutions to automated assembly lines. In the case of the latter, for example, the battery cells can be automatically soldered and glued as the core of the battery. In terms of sales, the Industrial Technology division is the smallest of the Bosch Group’s four central company divisions. The most important by far is the auto subcontracting division, which in the previous year accounted for more than half of the total turnover of €71.5 billion. Other central divisions of the company are consumer goods as well as the energy and construction technology divisions.
