Some late spoiler notes and behind-the-scenes news from the first episode of WWE NXT on The CW have surfaced.
– There are segments prior to tonight's main event for the WWE NXT World Championship listed as “shorts” on the show's internal playsheet. There's another one listed after the opening match for the WWE NXT Women's World Championship.
– It was reportedly a chaotic scene backstage on a very busy day ahead of WWE NXT's debut on The CW Network.
– Revised internal operating sheets for the show were distributed immediately before the start of the show.
– The OC duo of Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson vs. Tank Ledger and Hank Walker are scheduled to compete in a dark match at tonight's event at AllState Arena.
– Each match on the show is slotted into at least two segments, although the format differs from how they are typically laid out on the weekly WWE Raw and WWE SmackDown shows.
– WWE NXT North American Women's Champion Kehlani Jordan is scheduled to provide special guest commentary during the announced women's tag team match for the show.
-No skips are expected on The CW, as the show is said to end at 10 a.m. every Tuesday night. Of course, this can always change.
– Pre-show rehearsals for tonight's show took place primarily backstage at AllState Arena, with announced matches later rehearsed in the actual arena inside the venue.
