Michael J Fox says it was “absolutely amazing” to play with Coldplay at Glastonbury Festival

Michael J. Fox is still in good shape after his surprise appearance at Coldplay's Electric Glastonbury concert over the weekend.

The beloved actor, who has been battling Parkinson's disease since 1991, left fans delighted after appearing on stage in front of a 120,000-strong crowd at the annual England Music Festival in the UK.

The “Back to the Future” star joined the band for two of their songs during the encore section, with singer Chris Martin going on a freestyle lap in the middle of their 2021 hit “Humankind.”

The actor described the experience as “absolutely amazing” and thanked the seven-time Grammy Award-winning band for hosting him.

“Glastonbury, much love and thanks to the @coldplay team who took such great care of us,” wrote Fox, 63. On Instagram Sunday. “And many thanks to Chris, Will, Johnny, Jay and Phil.”

“Oh yeah, in case you were wondering…it was absolutely amazing. Every band has a time and every time has a band. This is @Coldplay's time,” he added.

Along with his post, Fox also shared a series of photos of himself enjoying the festival with his team, as well as another photo of himself in front of a sign reading “Optimism is a political act.”

Another shot of the carousel showed a sign reading “Special Guest of Coldplay.”

Fox sent fans into a frenzy on Saturday night after he was wheeled off stage in a wheelchair during Coldplay's record-breaking set.

“This is another legendary Michael,” Martin said of Fox after introducing festival founder Sir Michael Eavis. “A truly remarkable person. With his Chuck Berry riff and the way he threw Beef punches: ladies and gentlemen, welcome Michael J Fox.”

While leading the huge crowd in a singing of his 2005 hit “Fix You,” Martin knelt next to Foxx, who was playing in the distance.

After the actor left the stage, the band's frontman revealed that Vox was the reason Coldplay was formed in the first place.

“Thank you especially for the main reason we were in the band, which was to see the movie ‘Back to the Future,’” he told the crowd.

“Thank you so much to our forever hero, and one of the most amazing people on the face of the Earth, Mr. Michael J. Fox. Thank you so much, our hero,” Martin added.

Coldplay made history at the festival, with this year's appearance marking the fifth time the British rock band has headlined the five-day music carnival, and the first act to do so.

Other notable names at this year's three-day festival include Dua Lipa and Shania Twain.
