Marinelli guest reviews go viral

Marinelli guest reviews go viral

Frederick is the name of a guest who recently stopped by the Marinelli Inn in Dölsach. He left without food or drink, and it wasn’t the “robber’s plate” for eight euros that made him so angry. The restaurant’s Google review was immediately followed up. “Very unfriendly staff. “Absolutely not recommended,” he succinctly and succinctly rated the inn.

Thomas Glanzer, owner of the famous Marinelli restaurant, responds to every review – positive or negative – his inn receives. There was also a reaction to Frederick’s statement, and it was not without irony: “Thanks to someone who finally said it. The staff were laid off with immediate effect. Now everyone is friendly again, but there is no one to work. But we hear something different from 99.9% of the guests.”

guest tantrums

As his response continued, Glanzer became serious again: “Of course we didn’t.” This was followed by a burst of praise for all his staff, and the hotelier said: “We already knew we were going to get a rating from your statements and outbursts.” Glanzer shared Frederick’s review and response to it on his Facebook account. And something he didn’t expect happened: “This post has now been viewed by two million people.”

No more space available

Glanzer explains why the guest wrote the review: “We keep our restaurant open until 8 p.m. The guest showed up around 8:15 p.m. The restaurant was full, there was no room left and he didn’t get anything to eat.” This made the guest angry. “He did a little scarlet and had a tantrum,” says the Marinelli hotelier. In the end, the guest left angrily and knew this would result in a negative Google review. Glanzer told Frederick: “The next time you’re in a hotel or restaurant and want to write a review, do it only when you have a seat, are served, and pay for the service, not just when you walk in and out the door.”
