On October 25 local time, Apple began distributing “macOS Sonoma 14.1” to general users. Macs that support the same operating system can be updated.

macOS Sonoma 14.1 is now available to general users

macOS Sonoma 14.1 expands your favorite music to include songs, albums, and playlists, and lets you check the Apple warranty status of your Mac, AirPods, Beats, headphones, and earbuds from System Settings.

This update includes the following improvements, bug fixes, and security updates for Mac:

• Favorites in Music have been expanded to include songs, albums, and playlists, allowing you to filter and view favorites in your library.
• Check the Apple warranty status for your Mac, AirPods, Beats, headphones, and earbuds in System Settings
• Fixed an issue where System Services settings could be reset in Location Services settings.
• Fixed an issue where encrypted external drives could not be mounted.

Some features may not be available depending on your region or Apple device.

Devices supported by macOS Sonoma are laptops like MacBook Air and MacBook Pro released after 2018.

On desktops, it supports iMac Pro released after 2017, Mac mini released after 2018, iMac and Mac Pro released after 2019, and Mac Studio released after 2022.
