MacOS (12) Montessori: Apple’s new operating system ready for Mac and MacBook

Apple has announced the completion of the MacOS “Montessori” for Mac and MacBook. The free update offered in June is a bit scary compared to the previous year, which brought Apple’s own support for its own M-Series ARM SoCs with the MacOS 11 Big Sur. Nevertheless, it is called Magos 12. It will be released on October 25th.

General unchanged version jump

Not only is the Big Zurilus changing from Magos 10. X to 11 due to major changes, including ARM support, Apple is now counting the decimals with each new version each year. However, the manufacturer has only publicly stated the name of the operating system for many years.

These are important discoveries

Magos is named, along with “Montessori” A port city in California, Apple wants to better integrate Mac (Book) operating system and iPados. With “Universal Control”, users have the option to control the iPad, including data transfer using the Mac and MacBook’s keyboard and mouse.

Even before WWDC 2021, Apple provided a page on how the mouse pointer on the iPod was moved by the MacBook trackpad, apps were closed and a file was dragged from tablet to notebook. But the chain can be extended: the file can be transferred from the iPad to the iMac placed on the right side of the notebook via the MacBook; In this case, it was operated with the mouse.

In this case, the input devices always send their inputs to the same system, while the MacOS 12 will send the Montessori inputs to another computer with MacOS or the iPod with the iPad 15. For example, unlike Logitech Flow, the input device does not replace the Bluetooth host.

With MacOS Montessori, Safari has introduced a new product for the browser, and its own control elements have to be compressed back to more web space. However, at the beginning of the beta, Apple dropped the first idea: the URL and search bar were initially positioned to the right of the active tab in the tab bar, i.e. constantly changing. In the final stage there are two bands that are naturally re-known.
