Currently, Renault’s scientific director, Luc Giulia, 55, has been appointed director as an independent person for a five-year term effective December 1, the public group details in a press release.
This expert in artificial intelligence and human-machine interfaces, especially in voice recognition and connected objects, has spent a large part of his career in Silicon Valley. In 1997, he co-invented the Assistant, which became Apple’s Siri technology after it was acquired by the American group in 2010.
His joining the Board of Directors comes “at a time when Radio France is firmly committed to an innovation strategy to always be at the forefront of technological change and the uses of its listeners”, emphasizes the public radio group.
In just a few years, Radio France became the leading producer of podcasts in France, developing its content specifically for users of connected speakers. The group also diversified through marketing this year with the Bayard Group as a voiceover speaker for children’s stories.
