“Project Nupara” builds on popularity round per minute Linux distribution based on fedora With Wine, basic graphics drivers, necessary codecs, and plug-ins especially for streaming platforms and gamers. The young project expands distribution designed as a workstation operating system in a purposeful and far-sighted manner.
Fedora + Wine + Patches + Drivers + Tools = Project Nupara
Based on the current Fedora 36 workstation with Gnome 42 desktop and Linux 5.17 kernel operating system, the ambitious “Nobara Project” is designing a game distribution that already has all the necessary dependencies wineA Windows compatible operating environment for POSIX compliant systems.
Game-optimized kernel
The open source project introduces gamer-specific optimizations, such as FUTEX2, a mutex mechanism for more efficient CPU usage, and other patches for gamers built directly into the system kernel.

Players Selected Programs
In addition to the already resolved dependencies and kernel improvements, the Nobara Project also offers a useful set of curated applications for gamers and streamers, such as OBS Studio and OpenRGB as well as Steam and Discord. CPU patches like AMD CPCC are supposed to provide more performance and FPS.
Some of the important things missing from Fedora, especially in regards to games, include WINE dependencies, obs-studio, third-party codec packs like those of gstreamer, third-party drivers like NVIDIA drivers, and even small package fixes here and there.
Nopara Project
Other annoyances, which pose a challenge to Linux newcomers and Windows users in particular, are cleverly and easily circumvented “out of the box”. For example, suitable graphics drivers for Nvidia graphics cards are provided directly, installed with the help of automatic installation procedure and setup accordingly.
Enhancements for Steam Deck as well as existing packages for Proton, WineSync, DXVK and the open source game manager Lutris are already in place.
The project is still in its infancy
The young project is still in its infancy, which is why the developers are planning an independent theme “Nopara” as one of the next steps. The distribution currently looks exactly like Fedora or the Gnome desktop at version 42.
