Lindsay Lohan reminds fans of her comedic chops in the trailer for her film Irish Wish

Lindsay Lohan learns that getting what you wish for isn't always what's best, in her latest film.

The new mother, 37, who has been spending time with her family while working in the Atlanta area, stars in the romantic comedy Irish Wish.

The trailer for the Netflix film was released on Tuesday.

In the preview, Lindsay's Maddie Kelly heads to Ireland to attend the wedding of a “friend” she's secretly in love with.

She told her mother Rosemary, played by Jane Seymour, 73: “I can't help but think things would be different if I had told Paul how I felt.”

“You have to start talking about yourself,” her brave mother advises.

“It's too late now,” Maddie replied. But is it so?

While sitting quietly in a picturesque garden, the lovely lady declares her heart's desire. “I wish I could marry Paul Kennedy,” she whispers.

When she woke up the next morning, everything had changed, and to her surprise she was now the bride.

During wedding preparations, Maddie works with photographer James Thomas, played by Ed Speleers.

The photographer was a bit shocked when Paul, played by Alexander Vlahos, wanted to use the wedding as a “good wedding but also a PR event” in order to boost his sales figures.

As Maddie begins to learn more about her relationship with Paul, including the fact that she “got down on one knee and proposed” to him, Maddie, who works as Paul's marketing executive, realizes that walking down the aisle with her boss may not be what's best for her.

As they explore the countryside for backdrops for the proposed photo shoot, Maddie finds herself spending more time with the photographer than with her fiancé.

At the same time, she noticed a spark between Paul and the woman he was supposed to marry in the original timeline.

The film was filmed in September and October 2022 in several locations around Ireland.

The project also gave the actress the opportunity to show how skilled she is at physical comedy, as her character finds herself in more than one embarrassing situation.

Lindsay's fans were excited to see the Falling For Christmas star star in another romantic comedy.

Irish Wish begins streaming on Netflix on March 15.
