KuZOOka’s special skills

To make everything even more powerful, each animal has a special ability that they can use exactly once per round. You can replace an entire hand of cards or individual cards. Or ask another player if they have at least “x” cards of a certain suit in their hand. Using an animal ability is just as much a part of the learning process in KuZOOka as communicating through the color fields. KuZOOka comes with two different boards (easy, hard) and three different difficulty levels for each board.

Game of the Year Probability

Trick It was Game of the Year in 1993. KuZOOka is at least on the list of recommendations this year. Perhaps more could have been made for the game if the co-op hadn’t already found its way to the nominations list with Dorfromantik. Because KuZOOka definitely meets the criteria for Game of the Year. The story goes well with the number. With a bit of childish imagination, the game makes you feel like an animal trying to escape from the zoo. The different difficulty levels ensure replayability, so you can play two or three games in a row because of the fun playing time.

If so, yes, if you can understand the communication. This can be a bit difficult for infrequent players, and it can be frustrating if others don’t want to understand you. But here it is recommended to simply talk about the way you give hints after the match.

Another plus point for KuZOOka: It works for any number of players. It does not matter whether it sleeps two or six people. It even seemed the hardest to me with two people.

Game materials and visuals are appropriate for the target audience. Only the animal tags are so small that you don’t just have to guess which animal is in the first game. People with thicker fingers may also have trouble grasping small marks.

Other than that, this is a nice number that has been well received by the various groups. Not a hit, certainly not a future classic either, but definitely something you can try also with experienced kids from 8 years old.
