At K 2022, Keller Lufttechnik GmbH + Co. will provide KG, Kirchheim unter Teck Information about its extraction technology for installation, the systems known as Cleacom separate particles and different media and thus ensure high system availability. The dry dust produced when the additives are weighed, mixed and added is separated in a dry separator, while the sticky aerosols that escape during extrusion are collected in a wet separator. Surface dirt and dust are extracted manually by another drying system with vacuum generation.

The requirements of the so-called ATEX Directive, the European Union Explosion Protection Directive, apply to the operation of the installation plant. Therefore the dry separator is equipped with a high quality pressure relief valve which, in the unlikely event of an explosion, absorbs the energy generated without a flame. The non-return valve in the pipeline prevents the pressure wave and the flame front from spreading to the working area.
Usually operators monitor their installed plant from the control station. Accordingly, operators have to respond only when an error message appears, and this rarely happens. The high availability of the Cleacom system not only makes the operators’ work easier, but also ensures that a high production rate is maintained.
