It’s time, I want to buy a new computer (+ monitor). Since graphics card prices are down to normal again and availability is back, I thought now would be a good time. Originally I wanted to buy a new PC for the RTX 3000 series version, but due to the extremely high prices and lack of availability, the project is on hold for the time being.
Now I’m sitting in the chairs again because Nvidia’s 4000 series is supposed to come out at the end of the year and whether I should wait and see .
I have filled out the questionnaire below.
1. Do you want to play on PC? If the answer is yes, then what?
Games like (Cyberpunk 2077, Anno 1800 etc.) (in as much detail as possible).
2. Do you want to use your computer to edit photos/music/videos or something similar? As a hobby or are you a professional? What software will you use?
Not just for games.
3. Do you have special requirements or desires (some brands and manufacturers, overclocking, particularly quiet PC, RGB lighting, …)?
There are no special requirements
4. How many screens do you want to use? Model, Resolution, Refresh Rate (Hertz)? Gsync/FreeSync?
monitor. WQHD gaming must be enabled, if the computer also allows 4K gaming, 4K screen is also welcome.
5. Do you still have an old computer, parts of which can be reused?
(please with links or exact model name)
The old computer is no longer available.
6. How much money do you want to spend?
€2000 for PC + up to €500 for a new monitor (€2,500 total).
7. When should I buy a PC?
Until the end of the year
8. Do you want to assemble the computer yourself or assemble it (by the store or by helpers (list as a sticker))?
gather yourself
9. Do you want to stream your content with your PC (eg via Twitch/OBS)? If so, what are the games/content? Do you already have parts for streaming setup? (Multiple screens, microphone, camera, broadcast device, …)?
not streaming
I also precompiled something, unfortunately I don’t know much about graphics cards, especially when it comes to RAM, SSD, etc.
Graphics: 10 GB Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3080 Gaming OC LHR GDDR6X (Retail) = €889.00
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8x 3.8GHz = €295.00
Main: MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk = 139.00 €
RAM: 32 GB G.Skill RipJaws V black DDR4-3200 CL16 Dual Kit = 110.67 €
Voltage: 750 Watts Be quiet! Pure Power 11 FM Modular 80+ = €99.97
SSD: 1 TB Samsung 980 Pro M.2 PCIe. Fourth = 135.50 euros
Coolant: Be Quiet Dark Rock 4 Tower Cooler = €60.17
Accommodation: Be quiet! Pure Base 500DX Mid Tower = 96.80 €
Total cost = 1,826 EUR
Unfortunately, I don’t know much about screens at all. I can’t say if the setting is enough for 4K games either, which is why I wrote above, primarily WQHD games and if the setting allows it, then the 4K screen.
Hope you can help me a bit or i have to wait for rtx 4000.
Warm welcome
