Jack Dorsey offered his thoughts on Meta’s new rival Twitter threads as the social platform prepares for its July 6th launch.
After Apple’s iOS App Store gave a preview of the threads, people have been analyzing what the Meta will offer. Among the people interested in the new digital platform is Dorsey who has already shared his reaction on Twitter.
“All of your leads belong to us,” Dorsey tweeted, along with a screenshot of the data the app may collect that connects it to the user.
Musk will respond to Dorsey’s tweet, adding, “Yes.”
In the “Data Associated with You” section of the App Store, Threads states that it may collect your financial information, contact information, user content, browsing history, usage data, purchases, contacts, identifiers, sensitive information, location, search history, and other data.

Looking at the same app privacy section of Twitter, the platform that Dorsey co-founded, some of the user-related data that developers collect includes purchases, contact information, user content, browsing history, usage data, location, contacts, search history, identifiers, and diagnostics. Twitter appears to collect a similar amount of data from its users minus health and fitness information, financial information, and sensitive information.
Bluesky, another Twitter competitor in which Dorsey has invested, states that it may collect data from users such as contact information, identifiers, and user content.

The threads are directly connected to Instagram with users of the latter able to seamlessly start using the new platform using their same username. The new social network comes as Twitter owner Elon Musk has implemented viewing limits that have greatly affected the user experience.
