The Last of Us 2 could finally be coming to PlayStation 5. The job description on developer Naughty Dog’s LinkedIn profile states that “The Last of Us 2: Remastered” is currently in development.
“Responsible for overseeing the production of all outsourced environmental art assets, weapons and interactive props for two popular titles The Last of Us: Part One and The Last of Us 2: Remastered“, reads the experience section for Outsourced lead artist Mark Pajarello.
We have Tom Henderson I’ve heard the grumbling The game dates back to January 2022 but nothing more was known at the time. It was then rolled out again in July 2023.
Of course, news of The Last of Us 2: Remastered’s existence comes on the heels of issues surrounding The Last of Us multiplayer. At least 25 Naughty Dog employees were also laid off.
Originally released for PlayStation 4 in June 2020, The Last of Us Part 2 takes place five years after the end of the first game and continues Ellie’s story and introduces a new character named Abby.
Sony has not yet revealed or commented on the existence of The Last of Us 2: Remastered.
