The film “Merlin or Desert Land” celebrated its premiere on Saturday at the Rostock Volksteere. The classic material of the Arthur legend has been dipped in a new color. Watch the piece author OZ Thorsten Czarkowski. review.
Rostock. A piece of several types – the ensemble, the North German Philharmonic, the opera choir, the solo singers, also the choreographers: a lot of effort was made to bring “Merlin or the Desert Land” to the stage.
The result was amazing. Even the fairytale costumes of Claudia Charlotte Charlotte Burchard make it easy to step into this colorful spectacle. It is based on the events of Arthur’s story, which moves between tradition, embellishment, and modern interpretation. A theatrical version by Trancred Durst, who performed the Mammoth in Düsseldorf in the early 1980s, was used, and Daniel Pfluger staged it in Rostock.
