A few weeks ago, Apple released the 15.4 update for iOS. The new version introduces many innovations. Among other things, Face ID now works when wearing a mask and there are a number of new emojis. However, there have also been complaints that battery life has decreased significantly since the patch.
Like MacWorld, among others mentionedNow, the iPhone manufacturer has managed to get the issue under control with the patch on iOS 15.4.
Apple: iPhone update also fills critical vulnerabilities
MacWorld’s report also shows that Apple has also closed two important vulnerabilities with the latest patch. These are initially called zero-day exploits that were only discovered after they had already been exploited by attackers. For example, hackers can use this to access information from the operating system.
Apple itself writes that this specifically represents a vulnerability in the AppleAVD component. In principle, attackers can use these “to execute malicious code with kernel rights”. Another vulnerability that was closed with the update allowed websites to access sensitive user information.
