Introduction: The built-in silent gaming system “Monolith”

monolith systemon me reddit We came across an interesting gaming system. This was compiled by Reddit users Allah And many aspects are certainly very interesting. We will start with the housing, since it is already a self-construction from a 3D printer. The appropriate template will be offered for free.

The other components are Intel Core i5-12400F (tested) on a Gigabyte B660I Aorus Pro DDR4 with 16GB Thermal Telegram RC DDR4-4400. Palit GeForce GTX 1650 KalmX is used as the graphics card. This is a passively cooled card. The Team Group T-Force Cardea Zero Z440 1TB is used as the solid state drive.

Passive cooling is an important issue, as the processor is also passively cooled as well as the graphics card. Noctua NH-P1 (test) is used here. Both this and the cooler on the graphics card are “chromax.black” modded and painted black.

The power supply is also located under the housing, which is a simple frame to which the main board and all installed components are connected. This is a pico PSU Rgeek 450P with 450W.

There is also some information about temperatures. The entire system is said to consume 191 Watts of power. The processor is supposed to work at 78 degrees Celsius, and the GPU of the graphics card is supposed to work at 80 degrees Celsius. The reduction in power consumption has been reduced to about 150 watts. Then the temperature of the CPU and GPU dropped to 69 and 71 degrees Celsius, respectively.
