Tenor Ian Postridge and pianist Lars Vogt created Schubert’s album that each chord contains a bit of drama.

In moments of happiness there is fear of loss and time. Every note and every chord has a little bit of drama that gains depth through the occasional. This means that “Schwanengesang”, actually a compilation of his publisher’s latest compositions for the Schubert song, is gaining significant weight alongside “Winterreise” and “Die Schöne Müllerin”.
