I had the “Kikyou Shingen Soft+” soft ice cream with Kikyo Shingen Mochi at Kikyo Shingen Mochi Factory theme park.

The main factory of Kikyoya, known for its Kikyo Shingen Mochi product, is located in Fuefuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture. Kikyo Shingen Mochi Factory is located in Tsuboi, Ichinomiya-cho, Fuefuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture. If you are traveling by car, get off at the Ichinomiya Misaka Interchange on the Chuo Expressway.

This is what a Kikyo Shingen Mochi factory looks like.

Sweets made with Kikyo Shingen Mochi can be had at the theme park cafe located east of the factory. On the map below, the theme park cafe is number 12.

Desserts include the 'Premium Kikyo Shingen Soft' which uses matcha soft serve ice cream, the 'Kikyou Shingen Soft+' which has vanilla soft serve ice cream topped with Kikyo Shingen mochi and Kikyo Shingen sticks, and the 'Kikyou Shingen Soft+' which has matcha ice cream on top of vanilla soft serve. There were three types of 'Kikyou Shingen Soft Mix' on sale. This time I ordered the 'Kikyou Shingen Soft+'.

This is the “Kikyou Shingen Soft+”. The waffle cone seemed to be too easy to break, so the store clerk asked, “Make sure to grab the bottom.”

The soft serve ice cream is topped with lots of brown sugar syrup.

The Kikyo Shingen Mochi was very cold when it touched the soft ice cream, and the texture was a bit hard. When you put it in your mouth and roll it, it gradually becomes soft and creamy. Sweet, cold and good.

This is a Kikyo Shingen stick. The texture is harder than a donut and softer than a sata andagi. Both Kikyo Shingen mochi and Kikyo Shingen stick have the taste of black sugar syrup and soybean flour, so the entire soft serve is finished with the taste of black sugar syrup and soybean flour.

Waffle cones break easily, so be careful not to spill the soft, melting ice cream.

There was also a shop inside the Kikyo Shingen Mochi Factory theme park, where they sell a lot of sweets like Kikyo Shingen Mochi and Kikyo Shingen Fresh Pudding. There is also an “all you can” Kikyo Shingen Mochi service, but the “all you can” service is numbered like a ticket and there was a sign that said “Numbered ticket distribution ends at 6am.” It seems like you'll have to line up pretty early in the morning.
