A new mini gaming PC designed to look like a classic Mac is launching, and it could be really impressive. Ayaneo unveiled the AM01 mini PC on Friday, which is among the first mini PCs the company has ever launched.
Ayaneo is mostly known for making gaming laptops like the Ayaneo 2S, but it is offering two mini PCs as part of its new Remake concept. The series aims to “interpret vintage and reshape classics,” according to the company, which outfits its portable gaming consoles in the soft white and gray colorway of classic electronics.

The AM01 appears to be inspired by the design of a classic Mac like the Apple II, and is an off-white color with a rainbow badge on top next to a gray power button. Ayaneo hasn’t shared many details yet, but it appears as though the mini PC includes five USB ports, four on the back and one on the front, along with an HDMI port and DisplayPort and Ethernet connectivity.
We don’t have any details about the specifications at the moment, however IndieGoGo page The AM01 promises “top-notch gaming experiences” and a “multi-processor version option.” The page also highlights that the mini PC will be available with Windows 11 or as a basic PC, both of which offer user-expandable storage.
Ayaneo is no stranger to powerful APUs like the Ryzen 7 7840U, so it’s possible we could see an APU in the AM01. It’s possible that Ayaneo could pack a discrete GPU into a mini PC, though an APU seems more likely given the size. Ayaneo says the AM01 is “extremely portable [it] You can carry it in your bag.”
The PC will launch in mid-to-late November at the Ayaneo event, but that appears to be when the campaign will launch on IndieGoGo, not when the final product will ship.
Ayaneo announced several other products at its showcase, including the AM02, a mini PC like the AM01 that features a design reminiscent of the classic NES. Additionally, the company introduced the Ayaneo Slide, a 7840U handheld with a screen that you can slide forward to reveal the keyboard, and the Ayaneo Flip, a handheld that reveals either a keyboard or a second screen depending on your model. Slide will launch at the end of November, while Flip is expected to launch in the next couple of months.
