Asus’ ROG phones are some of the best gaming phones out there. In a few weeks we anticipate the launch of the sixth generation, which will thus be called ROG Phone 6. While we can still guess the name ourselves, a huge leak has surfaced about the new gaming device on the web. We summarize everything you need to know.
New images and specifications show a Tencent-branded model, but it’s more consistent. Take a look at the image below.
- ROG Phone 6 (and ROG Phone 6 Pro) is said to be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
- The design is significantly different from previous models, but the white color is really stylish!
- 6.78-inch OLED display with FHD + resolution and 165Hz refresh rate.
- The weight is 239 grams and the dimensions are 172.83 x 77.25 x 10.39 mm.
The alleged specs of the ROG Phone 6 include a 3.2GHz octa-core chipset, 18GB of RAM, 512GB of flash storage, a 50MP main rear camera and a 13MP ultra-wide rear camera. As in the image above, we can see a third lens at the back, but it’s unclear what Asus is planning here.
I imagine it could be used for in-game messaging or other notifications. Unsurprisingly, some of the rumors remain a mystery: RAM and storage specifications can vary – will it be 16GB or 18GB of RAM? We are not sure what memory the device came with from the factory.
Slightly thicker than the ROG Phone 5, the device is likely to be powered by a large 6000mAh battery with 65W fast charging. Both versions (6 and Pro) are said to offer two USB Type-C charging ports, one on the side for horizontal charging and one on the bottom.
Asus has recently announced That this TENAA-certified gem will be splash-proof, and also declares it “the world’s first IPX4 gaming phone.” And while there isn’t much information in this article other than the specs, rest assured that you’ll hear more about the gaming phone once Asus gives us the details. The next flagship gaming phone will be revealed on the 5th of July. Stay in touch!
