Huawei obtained a patent for rotatable display technology

On May 6, Huawei officially published a new patent in China entitled “Flexible Screen and Foldable Electronic Device Support Mechanism”. According to the State Intellectual Property Office, on October 31, 2020, Huawei applied for a patent for its scrollable display technology, which has now been published under the number CN114439343A.

According to the patent details, the rotating screen support mechanism and the rotatable device have a simple structure and take up little space. This new technology for rotatable displays can be used in future Huawei devices.

In addition, the patent document provides a mechanism for a scrollable display that includes a component support structure and a rotatable component. They are all very technical, but still exciting.

How it works (compiled machine):

  • The adjacent support groups are connected in a circular motion by a first axial shaft. The axle assembly and the support assembly are circularly connected to each other by a second axle shaft. The adjacent rotating assemblies are connected rotarily by a third rotating shaft.
  • The pivot assemblies may be connected in a circular motion relative to the support group. Rotary assemblies can switch and switch between the first and second states.
  • When the axial assembly is in the first case, the axis of the first axial shaft is linear with the axis of the third axial shaft, and the adjacent support structures can be centered relative to the first or third axial shaft, and the flexible coffee filter mechanism can be rolled.
  • When the rotary assembly is in the second case, the axis of the first rotating shaft intersects with the axis of the third rotary shaft, and the adjacent support structures cannot rotate relative to each other, and the flexible coffee filter mechanism cannot rotate.
