Foldable smartphones have mainly appeared in ‘horizontal opening’ and ‘vertical opening’ types so far, but the Pixel Fold is the same as the so-called ‘Galaxy Z Fold’ series, which opens horizontally. Cover screen and large main screen when opened, it can be used like a normal smartphone when closed and as a tablet when opened.

The main screen is about 7.6 inches 2208 x 1840 dots organic EL (~380 ppi) with an aspect ratio of 6:5, and the cover screen is about 5.8 inches FHD+ (1080 x 2092 dots) with an aspect ratio of 17.4:9 with Hole in the top center.) It is said to be an organic EL element and both displays are smooth and support a 120Hz refresh rate. The cover screen is covered with Corning “Gorilla Glass Victus”, but the main screen has only a protective layer of plastic.

In addition, the rear camera has the following triple configuration, and the hole-punch part contains a built-in front camera with about 9.5 million pixels CMOS / wide-angle lens (F2.2, view angle 84°). When opened, it has an internal camera with approximately 8 million pixels CMOS / wide-angle lens (F2.0, 84° angle of view). The size is about 139.7 x 78.74 x 12.7mm when closed, about 139.7 x 158.7 x 5.8mm when opened, the weight is about 283g, and the main body color is obsidian and porcelain.
