Game Sales Award: GTA is back on the road to success

Last March, the German Game Consortium once again managed to deliver two sales awards – and GTA is already on the path to success again.

Month after month, Game Consortium Germany honors particularly successful titles with its Game Sales Award. In March, two titles broke important sales marks again, and were therefore considered.

This duo has been more successful Gran Turismo 7 for Playstation. Meanwhile, the latest installment in the successful Polyphony Digital series has been sold more than 200,000 times in domestic regions, thus earning the game’s platinum sales award. Getting to that mark quickly is great as Gran Turismo 7 was only released on March 4th – and thus only at the beginning of last month.

The new part is successfully celebrating the 25th anniversary of the simulation racing game. The address features more than 400 cars from more than 60 manufacturers.

And another brand that literally symbolizes success is doing well again. Also the final version of Grand Theft Auto: Trilogy Meanwhile, it broke the 100,000 sales mark in Germany – despite all the initial criticism of the remanufacturing device. The package includes upgraded versions of GTA 3, GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas, but it has some problems. Breaking the 100,000 sales mark still earns Rockstar Games the Gold Games sales award.
