Father and teenage son accused of murdering rapper BNP Rock
A man and his 17-year-old son have been charged with premeditated murder in the fatal shooting of rapper BNP rock in a South Los Angeles restaurant, authorities said. On Tuesday, they were each arrested on one count of murder, two counts of second-degree theft and one count of conspiracy to commit theft, and their 38-year-old stepmother Shontel Troon was also arrested. On Tuesday, he was charged with one count of being an accomplice after the murder, as the teen, who is still imprisoned, first appeared in a juvenile court and was asked to return next month. Chantel Tron was due to be recalled later Thursday. It is not clear whether or not either of them retained a lawyer, and police are still looking for Freddy Lee Tron, who they say should be considered armed and dangerous. Tron’s 38-year-old stepmother Shontel Tron, the boy’s stepmother, was also arrested on Tuesday and charged with one count of being a dependent after the murder.
The teen, who is still imprisoned, first appeared in a juvenile court and was asked to return next month. Chantel Tron was due to be recalled later Thursday. It is not clear if either of them has appointed a lawyer.

PnB Rock, a 30-year-old Philadelphia hip-hop artist whose legal name is Rakim Allen, was shot dead on September 13 at Roscoe’s House of Chicken ‘N Waffles while dining with his girlfriend. Investigators said a thief approached their table and asked for things from the rapper.
