Fast Pair, Google’s technology for Android and Windows to talk to each other

The ecosystem is one of the reasons why people buy Apple devices. The ability of our devices to understand each other without having to configure anything. So far it was app dependent and we had to have a series of devices. Microsoft has tried it countless times with Your Phone and Dell with its Mobile Connect suite. However, it now appears that Google wants to help with Fast Pair.

Fast Pair, Android is starting to understand better with other platforms

At CES, Google revealed its ambition to make our different devices work better together, with new platform-independent features via Fast Pair. The goal is to make it easier to work between our devices on a daily basis. Several announcements made by Google today are related to Android/Chrome OS. But the company is also working on a new synergy between Android and Windows.

At the moment, we don’t know what synergies we will see between Android and Windows. Coincidentally, Google is working with Acer, HP, and Intel on “I am bringing these experiences to choosing Windows PCs first later this year.” The logic was that Microsoft and Google would work together to improve the Your Phone app, but we already know how compatible the two companies are.

This is the many attempt to work better between the two operating systems. If Microsoft and Google had been smarter, they would have worked together to come up with a common solution. However, more than ten years after the first release of Android, we are still the same.
