What immediately stands out about the 34-inch LG UltraGear OLED 34GS95QE-B is its curved shape (800R) and ultra-wide format (21:9) – practical for office work with multiple windows or for gaming. The screen also measures 785 x 595 x 270mm – making it an impressive appearance on any desk.
In testing, the OLED gaming monitor impressed with very good image quality. The resolution is 3440 x 1440 pixels, resulting in a decent pixel density of 110 ppi. In addition, 10-bit color depth and 100 percent coverage of the sRGB color space ensure accurate and vivid color reproduction. And thanks to 97.7 percent coverage in the DCI-P3 color space, you can enjoy a particularly wide range of colors even in HDR content.
The maximum screen brightness of 1,176 cd/m² is also impressive. This ensures vivid, intense images, especially with HDR content. This is backed by HDR 400 certification. There is also a checkerboard contrast of 228:1. This allows for clear distinction between transitions between light and dark for better representation of light and shadow. There's also a solid full-surface brightness of 272 cd/m2. But this could definitely be a little higher. Sometimes working in very bright environments is only possible to a limited extent. Classic LC displays achieve much higher values here.
But when gaming preferably in dark rooms, the LG UltraGear OLED 34GS95QE-B can fully show its advantages. There's also a high refresh rate of 240Hz and a response time of 0ms. The refresh rate is supported by compatibility with G-Sync, Freesync Premium Pro, and Adaptive Sync. The screen displays content quickly, smoothly, and without annoying image errors.
