The basis of printable and rechargeable batteries are redox polymers. the new The material can be processed into ultra-thin, flexible battery cells using standard printing processes. It allows the developer a high degree of design freedom. In addition, battery cells manufactured with Taettooz technology do not contain liquid electrolytes and therefore cannot leak.

When ready for serial production, they can be used in the medical field for further appropriate monitoring of vital functions. This technology was developed by Creavis, Evonik’s strategic innovation unit and business incubator.
