Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin has raised alarm over the technology's privacy

In a recent social media update, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin addressed several pressing technological risks.

Accordingly Buterin, the fight against centralization should not be limited to financial systems.

Several key issues were identified, including centralized identity management, vulnerabilities and backdoors in operating systems, lack of transparency in algorithms, and AI-powered surveillance. Buterin also expressed concern about new brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) that can decode thoughts using advanced imaging and AI.

Although these technologies are still in development and not yet commercially available, Buterin is concerned about their potential impact on privacy.

In a recent social media update, he addressed several pressing technological risks.

Buterin, who supports the development of brain-computer interfaces (BCIs), warns that proprietary systems with hidden vulnerabilities could compromise the privacy of thought. He calls for open publishing of BCIs to prevent such problems.

He also stressed that solving these issues is crucial even with full implementation of DeFi. Buterin said that integrating DeFi with other technologies is crucial, citing ways to improve payment security as an example of how these technologies can work together to solve broader problems.
