This Thursday evening, Battlestate Games dropped the last covers about the eagerly awaited 0.12.12 update for Escape from Tarkov. After a few teasers and an announced premiere, the first official trailer for the first trailer for Escape from Tarkov Beta – 0.12.12 trailer including the all-new map Lighthouse included in the patch has been given a schedule at 9pm.
There were not only many other impressions of locations on the new map, but also a lot of gameplay. This revealed, among other things, new weapons and mods that will come into play with Patch 0.12.12, but also revealed to us that many dangers lurk in and around the lighthouse. You want to explore the many interiors, high benches, ceilings and even permanently installed machine guns make life difficult for us in the open spaces and streets.
Gameplay, atmosphere and more
Of course, like all other maps, the Lighthouse can be explored at any time of the day. This was impressively presented to us in the trailer through some gameplay scenes at night. The atmosphere and the horror factor are not neglected here either.
Showcasing the “Get Ready for Escape” tagline, Battlestate Games puts us in the mood for the biggest patch in two years and perhaps the most important Escape from Tarkov patch ever. However, contrary to many predictions, no date was shown, which is why the annoying date of Sunday, December 12, 2021 has not been confirmed.
Escape From Tarkov Beta – Trailer Patch 0.12.12 (Feat Lighthouse)
You can now watch the 3:39-minute trailer for the patch for yourself below. What other hidden clues do you discover that may have snuck through us when we first looked? What are you most looking forward to in EFT Patch 0.12.12? In the video description, BSG promises us not only the new seemingly playable location but also powerful new features, new weapons and “many other things”.
Instead of confirming the date of the patch, the associated survey and thus the integration of new features and content, there was another encrypted message via Twitter in the morning that resourceful fans were able to decipher shortly thereafter. In any case, they are convinced that their interpretation is correct.
This may also indicate that the update is released on Sunday. In the handwritten message that BSG shared as an image, there is a reference to the Cocktail Injector ‘Obdolbos’, already available in EFT, which is 2212 seconds long, thus giving you 22 levels of some skill. If you take these two numbers and read them one by one, this will be 221222 seconds, which if converted to days, results in 2.56043981. From the time of publication until next Sunday, this will be approximately the time remaining.
Another user believes that a duration of 2212 seconds alone can be an indication that the 0.12.12 patch cannot be released until December 22nd and that a new scan will begin much sooner than the holidays. This was already the case last year and made some players angry.
But do not worry. All other evidence we got from Battlestate Games previously points to December 12th. After all, the developer and publisher has already tweeted the obvious message: “You already know when the 12.12 release will be.”
