Emmy Awards Update: Celebrities Arrive on the Red Carpet

Although the Creative Arts Emmy Awards aren't ready for primetime broadcast — the event includes awards for guest acting achievements and specialty areas like picture editing and stunt work — the awards are counted the same way in the Emmy record books, so the leaderboard is officially ready.

With wins in categories such as production design, cinematography and visual effects, “Shogun” has already broken the record set by HBO’s 2008 miniseries “John Adams,” which won 13 Emmys, and “Game of Thrones,” which won 12 Emmys three times.

In one of the more interesting awards shows of the weekend, Alan Cumming won Best Host in a Reality Series for his hit series “Traitors,” ending RuPaul's eight-year winning streak.

“Traitors” is once again in contention for best reality series at Sunday's ceremony, looking to upset “RuPaul's Drag Race,” which has won the category five times in the past six years.
