We are two young students who have made it our mission to make the most productive work more sustainable. Maximilian is already the co-founder (CEO) at alpmine GmbH.

Why did you decide to start a company?

We haven’t built one yet, but we will after a successful Kickstarter campaign.

What is the vision behind eMinder?

eMinder is designed to support you in managing your daily tasks in a more focused and organized way, in order to have more time for the beautiful things in life.

From idea to start, what were the biggest challenges so far and how did you fund yourself?

The biggest challenge so far has been to keep going despite not showing any “great looking” results for a long time. Everything is self-financed when the company is established.

Who is the target audience of eMinder?

The target group of eMinder are all the people who sit at a desk every day. Whether it’s in the office, in the home office, or as a student. We also see potential for use as a visual family day planner standing in the kitchen or for hotels/restaurants as paperless information sheets.

How does eMinder work?

eMinder works quite simply. You first enter all your notes and tasks into the eMinder app. In this you can then sort, structure and design them as you wish. Thanks to NFC technology, all you have to do to transfer data to eMinder is hold your mobile phone to eMinder while the screen is refreshing.

What are the advantages?

The advantage of eMinder is the ability to hide digital and social distractions, always having a visual view of all tasks and thus entering a state of “flow” as you work.

What distinguishes you from other service providers?

Thanks to its special display, the eMinder is completely free of blue light and the pine wood housing promotes health.

Beyond thinking, where are we heading? Where do you see yourself in five years?

Our base product, eMinder, is also available in other sizes and with partially color displays. Within 5 years, we see ourselves primarily involved in developing more eInk NFC products with a focus on sustainability. Energy efficiency is becoming a bigger topic.

Finally: What are your three tips for potential founders?

Be patient and don’t be late for the long trip. Clean door handles, because sales don’t come by themselves. know your customer
