With the One III, the manufacturer introduced the QUACK MECHANICS design philosophy for the first time. When designing its keyboards, Ducky aims to consider four key aspects essential to the typing experience: keycaps, body, sound, and stabilizers. In order to improve the sound and feel of the typing, according to the manufacturer, 17 different rubber compounds were tested and the most suitable replacement for the Q-Bounce pad was selected. This is combined with an additional layer of EVA foam to effectively dampen resonance when typing and hard keystrokes.
The connection to the computer is via a USB-C to USB 2.0 Type A cable and the sampling rate is approximately 1000Hz. In addition to the various compact switches, buyers can choose between black and white colors and four different sizes (full-size form factor, TLK, SF, mini). The full size version measures 450 x 40 x 140mm and weighs 1.123kg according to the data sheet. Ducky One III Aura is now available in stores for €149.90.
