In a newly surfaced patent, Sony has secured a technology that allows us to feel temperature differences on our hands while gaming. The patent describes a controller that can reverse different temperature zones of a game by heating or cooling.
So the console can get cold in areas of ice, while getting warm in areas of lava. This would increase immersion. The DualSense controller truly delivers a special gaming experience with its adaptive triggers and haptic feedback.
Deformable material in the console
In the Patented It also uses a sensor that uses an elastically deformable element. A silicone-based macromolecular gel can be used as a material. When it comes into contact with the skin, it should detect deformation and emit an electrical signal.
Distortion can use different gameplay elements where you have to grab something in the game. The material should automatically return to its original shape. In addition, the vibrations through the material should be more noticeable.
