Out of nowhere, Drake honestly released his new album, NEVERMIND Overnight, which had no prior announcements or released singles. A few hours before the release, he shared the song list and album cover on Instagram. The latter is kept fairly simple, displaying only the album title in an extravagant font. The album itself consists of 14 songs on which only one guest appears – which is unusual for Drake. British rapper 21Savage appeared on the song “Jimmy Cook’s”.
Drake also released a music video for the song “Falling Back” overnight with the album. In the nine-minute video, Drake walks down the aisle, marrying not just one woman, but dozens of them. It soon becomes clear: In terms of content, Drake’s new album will continue where his last album left off: with a self-portrait as a well-trained and perpetually strong playboy. Hence, despite the underlying sexism at all times, he is surprised by the lack of intimacy in his relationships.
Two Grammy Nominations for Drake’s Previous Album
Honestly, Nevermind is the seventh studio album in Canada. The previous album, CERTIFIED LOVER BOY, was only released in September of last year and was met with mixed reviews. In his review, Musikexpress author André Boße spoke of “Elongated self-reflection from the royal hip-hop hall. However, Drake enjoyed success with the album. So he became with the album as well as with the single “Method 2 sexy(feat. Future and Young Thug) Both were nominated for a Grammy Award. It’s unclear if he’ll win one – nominations were withdrawn in protest of the awards show.
Honestly, never think about streaming:
