Donald Trump gets a monologue from Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s latest movie, air – And they didn’t have it.
On Saturday, the Trump campaign posted a dossier video On his social network Truth, which stole a monologue by Matt that was edited over scenes from the Trump political era, and ended with a donation screen and the slogan “Make America Great Again,” Delivery time mentioned.
The monologue was Matt Damon as Sonny Vaccaro, Director of Marketing at Nike, who described what it means to achieve greatness. The biographical drama tells the story of NBA legend Michael Jordan and the creation of the ‘Air Jordan’ sneaker campaign in the 1980s.
Unfortunately for the Trump campaign, the film’s director and star, Ben Affleck, and actor Matt’s production company, Artists Equity, didn’t appreciate using their film’s message. They immediately issued a statement denouncing the video.
We had no prior knowledge of, did not approve of, and do not endorse or approve of any video or audio from air Redirect the Trump campaign for other purposes such as political advertising or for any other use.”
Specifically with respect to any and all rights available to us under United States copyright and intellectual property law, we hereby expressly give notice that if you use any material from air Through the Trump campaign where consent or consent is required, we do not give that consent.”
Maybe next time, Mr. Trump should get permission before putting himself in the same league as Michael Jordan.
