“Days of Our Lives” star Drake Hogestin has died at the age of 70

Before entering the world of acting, Hogestyn was a baseball player who played for the New York Yankees' minor league team.

Several “Days of Our Lives” cast members shared tributes to Hogestyn on social media, including Allison Sweeney, who played Sami Brady until 2014.
